Wheat Markets Steady to 2 Higher, Led by KC HRW

Wheat futures are steady to 2 cents per bushel higher this morning, with KC the firmest. They ended the Friday session with the nearby winter wheat contracts steady to 3 cents higher. MPLS was 5 to 6 3/4 cents lower. The USDA Export Sales report indicated 276,496 MT of wheat sales for the week ending June 27. That was down 54.8% from last week and 37.17% below the same week last year. Through the first 4 weeks of the new MY, total export commitments are 20.56% larger than this point in 2018. French wheat conditions dropped 5% in gd/ex ratings to 75% according to a weekly FranceAgriMer report, due to heat and dryness.
